Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.04% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the fell 0.04%.

The best performers of the session on the were Gourmet Master Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 9.92% or 24.00 points to trade at 266.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Swancor Holding Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.90% or 6.80 points to end at 75.50 and CSBC Corp Taiwan (TW:) was up 9.88% or 3.70 points to 41.15 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Eclat Textile Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 9.88% or 42.00 points to trade at 383.00 at the close. Feng Tay Enterprises Co Ltd (TW:) declined 8.89% or 18.50 points to end at 189.50 and Tripod Technology Corp (TW:) was down 5.32% or 4.70 points to 83.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 405 to 357 and 148 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.06% or 0.04 to $72.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $81.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1204.80 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.03% to 30.660, while TWD/CNY rose 0.09% to 0.2241.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.74.
