Investing.com – Stocks moving after hours on Wednesday.

– Lam Research (NASDAQ:) shares were up 7% at 5:40 PM ET (22:40 GMT) after earnings and revenue . In addition, the chipmaker announced a $5 billion stock buyback.

– Texas Instruments (NASDAQ:) beat earnings estimates, with strength in its critical analog chip business. Investors despite lower guidance. The stock rose 1.5% postmarket.

United Rentals (NYSE:) jumped as much as 6% to $123. Fourth-quarter rental revenue grew 21%, with volume the big driver.

– Shares of Umpqua Holdings (NASDAQ:), the fast-growing regional banking company in the Pacific Northwest, were down 3.7% after hours after fourth-quarter earnings and revenue .

– Briggs & Stratton (NYSE:) shares were off more than 10% after the maker of lawn-mower engines reported fourth-quarter earnings that missed GAAP and non-GAAP estimates.

– Tesla (NASDAQ:) eged up after hours following three days of losses following its announcement of job cuts last week. The shares, at about $287, are off nearly 5% this week after tumbling nearly 13% last week.
