Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Hsin Ba Ba Corp (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 1.10 points to trade at 12.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Jentech Precision Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) added 10.00% or 7.00 points to end at 77.00 and Chaintech Technology Corp (TW:) was up 9.97% or 4.85 points to 53.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promise Technology Inc (TW:), which fell 9.92% or 1.25 points to trade at 11.35 at the close. Sunty Development Co Ltd (TW:) declined 8.85% or 1.15 points to end at 11.85 and Scientech Corp (TW:) was down 6.46% or 5.30 points to 76.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 575 to 221 and 118 ended unchanged.
Shares in Chaintech Technology Corp (TW:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.97% or 4.85 to 53.50.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.07% or 0.75 to $69.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.78% or 0.61 to hit $77.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1198.60 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.06% to 30.787, while TWD/CNY fell 0.18% to 0.2221.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 95.43.
